Hallo Meli,

osm.wiki/Tag:tourism%3Dinformation

Streetside parking is usually not mapped as parking areas(, though for certain cases parking=streetside exists). They are usually mapped on way segments with "parking lane" tagging. Anyhow, parking areas are mostly meant for seperate areas dedicated to parking (usually by malls/supermarkets or in city centres).
osm.wiki/Parking

(Excuse me for the additional comment, I only just saw you already mapped on in this changeset)

Hey nivesnine,

residential areas for individual apartment complexes are ok. The way residential areas are mapped in general varies from place to place.
You can ignore landuse for now. It doesn't matter if a building is mapped without landuse.

Hey nivesnine,

Looks like you know how to square corners. Otherwise, you can always look this up with the help tab in the editor's right sidebar, or go to http://learnosm.org/ to learn more.

If you have time, feel free to check/survey whether the buildings "Laundry Room" and "Community Building" have correct names (not mapped by you). They seem to indicate their function instead of their name. As you may know, these are indicated with their own tags. You can look up tags on the wiki:

Hey Southpaw and welcome,

This changeset includes one empty line / incomplete building, a few disconnected corner nodes and non-square buildings -they can be squared by right clicking on them and selecting "Square", or pressing the "Q" button-; although it is also ok to follow the line on the roof they're usually square.

If you're not sure something's right, you can always mark a changeset for review when saving it.

Head over to http://learnosm.org/ to learn more about editing.

Daniel

Hey Alanantos,

In osm.org/changeset/108384389 I have disconnected trash cans and benches from landuse, as well as aligning a few ways and removing service=parking_aisle from the entrance way to a parking lot.

Happy mapping!

Regards,

Daniel

Hallo BeTiTa,

Hey highflyer74,

The outer line consists of multiple unique segments which relate to the landslide itself. Note, the area in the quarry is defined by the embankment topography and not a steep drop. As such, I have used a multipolygon to create one object for information to be added onto, instead of adding an area/polygon on top. This helps keep an overview.
See for another example osm.org/relation/12119561

108121659 about 4 years ago

Hallo mantie,

107389803 about 4 years ago

107386420 about 4 years ago

Hey HarmHilvers,

--
This seems more like a storage tank.

And, are you sure it contains water? For storage tanks, you should only add the "content" tag if you can see what it contains from aerial imagery or with local knowledge.

Hey splith,

This edit looks fine. You can additionally add a way with highway=service + service=slipway (+ surface=concrete) which connects this node and the residential way, as mentioned here:
osm.wiki/Tag:leisure=slipway

107464162 about 4 years ago

Hey spilth and welcome back,

When using iD, be careful. You may occasionally snap ways to each other which you didn't want to snap.
This node from the residential way was snapped to the Alabama/Georgia border:
osm.org/node/52506134

You should consider using JOSM once you get the hang of editing:
