Cordialement,

my apologies. As you made so many contributions in Ireland, I suppose your main langage is english. (But it would be most clear if the langage was displayed on our OSM profiles.) -I went there: on the menu, it was written opened from 17:00 to 21:30 (5pm to 9:30pm). The owner told me he had created the Google page. Latter I saw on the Google page, it was opened from 18:00 to 21:30. So I phoned to check. 18:00 is the good value. -As the owner had told me he had problems with bad comments about the previous owners, still displayed on several web sites, I tried to help adding or changing the address on a few sites. And later, creating 2 links from the OSM page, to PagesJaunes.fr and to Google. Bad idea. Again I apologize. Best regards,

Preferably simple polygons are added as area, not multipolygon, unless not otherwise possible, or prefered by the local community (which it is unlikely to be).

--- If you did survey the restaurant on the ground (on location, from up close), and only use Google to show to others so they can verify it, then you or someone else can remove the source link to Google.
if you used Google data to contribute to OpenStreetMap directly, without verifying by surveying on the ground, or at least by checking official website, then the modification should be reverted (undone) and/or you should survey it on the ground so you can verify your modification and it can be kept in OpenStreetMap. |

Bonne cartographie :-) Cordialement, Daniel Traduit avec deepl.com/translator --- Hey Mathieu65, Did you survey the location on the ground?
Do not use Google data for contributing to OpenStreetMap, please. It is prohibited. See this OSM Wiki page (in English)

169254479 | 7 days ago | Hey kenda, Check out StreetComplete 61.2
There are now more quests available for toilets and showers, so you should also be able to check i.e. if the shower next to it still exists (at least, it should ask for it, it hasn't been updated in 9 years..)

132416773 | 8 days ago | Hey John, Did you survey each defibrillator individually, on the ground, and manually added them; or
If you surveyed them, it looks good. Just make sure to carefully add the details when you are doing this many of them. You can easily make typos or copy-paste mistakes. Otherwise, please adhere to the import guidelines
I assume it is with good intent, of course; and you have been editing for longer without negative feedback as far as I can see.
Regardless, this is a changeset from two years ago, so this comment is a bit late. Your changes visualised

168300749 | 28 days ago | There are signs outside the entrance but it is too dark even if I increase the brightness on the Panoramax website itself. There might be a cabinet below the signs? https://api.panoramax.xyz/#pic=c6e6096e-ca31-44f9-afd9-54632de2ea19&focus=pic |
168300749 | 28 days ago | Hey Tobiemh, Thank you for contributing to OpenStreetMap! Could you please tell me if it is the same or a different defibrillator than the one "left of the reception desk" at
The one you mapped mentions it is outdoor, but that could have been added by mistake (no worries, it can happen). It is useful to describe exactly where the defibrillator is located (level, room, facility, wall/desk/...), if possible.
There is currently no street level imagery of the souterrain (?) in front of the hotel, only outside of the ground floor.
If you are willing, you can take a picture (preferably of both, if they are different) and upload it to one of the following applications, where you can also add more information.
Mentioned applications host photos using an open license (or are otherwise compatible), allowing other contributors to use them for OpenStreetMap. If you only want to add more information, you can also do this directly in the "iD editor" (Click on "Edit" on osm.org), or by [opening a note](osm.wiki/Notes#Using_notes) on osm.org. If you have any questions on how to map, you can contact your (local) community at
Happy mapping :-) Regards, Daniel PS: sorry if links with display text in this message are not correctly shown. |

167749632 | omkring 1 månad sidan | Hey enable_15, This is an object which was surveyed (not added from aerial imagery) by a user who likes to add additional detail. This might be correct (solely inaccurate) data, though it is not always flawless (first part can be checked by looking at object history, second part you would need to know the mappers of course, third part some tagging experience is useful)
I would suggest starting with simple mapping for your first changes, not jumping into challenges and automated edits straight away.

Also, are your changes also part of an [organised effort](osm.wiki/Organised_Editing) for 'walking data accuracy'? (just curious, eventhough it seems you are on your own) If you have any questions about how to contribute, you can contact the (local) community at

166574769 | 2 månader sidan | Hey GOduori, Do not reclassify highways without proper reason, please. This road is unlikely to be a secondary road.
It is not even possibly through-road.
From your changeset comment, this change was based solely on getting improper/missing result(s) from a query using overpass.
Incorrect result by such applications is usually an error in the query, or alternatively application, not directly in the map data. Changing map data in such way is considered 'Mapping for external application' and is prohibited by OSM guidelines;
Make sure to follow the (local) guidelines or concensus on for example tags for highways.
Be careful when changing highways, especially reclassifications but also roads with relations (i.e. bus routes, turn restrictions). Editing these without prior knowledge, especially with the basic iD editor, might accidentally introduce errors (moving nodes, disordering or breaking relations). It is better to make such advanced changes with more experience and JOSM editor.
Also, you should provide a proper description and reason of your changes in your changeset comment when saving (preferably for most if not all changesets), so other mappers can understand and validate your changes more easily.
