Looking at Stratford Okahukura Railway

Today I'm checking out the North Auckland Railway and infrastructure features.

Rimutaka, Nelson and others

Adding track of the two abandoned railways.

Adding as much as is visible of old Mangaweka alignment (abandoned)

Traced out various routes

Taped out the route and tagged it as a path and railway=abandoned

Working on the section from Birdlings Flat to Little River. We need a tag railway=railtrail. See if I can get my GPS trace loaded.

(I guess I can tag the trail part as railway=abandoned so it doesn't need a special tag for a railtrail)

Some of the Main North line added. The rest is substantially close to either the coast or the highway and therefore, cannot readily be distinguished on the available aerial coverage.

Traced out a few old rail lines - Ferrymead Railway, Weka Pass Railway near Christchurch.
Traced out the route of the Rimutaka Incline from aerials - the parts in shadow may not be so accurate as the rest.
