149552370 | over 1 year ago | FYI the Telus Spark science centre in Calgary was never called "Telus World of Science". I've manually reverted your change to osm.org/way/171779909. See osm.org/changeset/149582478. |
149106291 | over 1 year ago | Hello Ewrt1, Not sure where you're getting your info, but the "13th Avenue" you added to the map here is neither named 13th Avenue nor is it actually open to vehicular traffic, nor following your indicated path directly across the train tracks. Likewise when I went to a recent Flames game at the Saddledome the parking lots you changed to construction area were open, with plenty of cars parked in 'em... I've updated the area as per osm.org/changeset/149290769. If you know something I don't, please feel free to correct me. |
149279581 | over 1 year ago | Hello Evbot99, Per my comment on changeset osm.org/changeset/149133786, once again, can you please reduce the size of your changes? I also noticed some changes you've made here are, frankly, fictitious. E.g. this section of 101st Ave in Edmonton: osm.org/way/1267170630 It does not, and never did, exist like that. Can you please substantiate your sources? The changeset says you were using Esri imagery, but the Esri imgaery doesn't show this road... |
149249186 | over 1 year ago | I can definitely corroborate that the #43 bus route is completely different now, and the #143 no longer exists. Significant changes to the Calgary Transit bus routes were made circa 2018-2020; many long-time routes were eliminated or changed entirely after the newer "MAX" BRT routes went into service. You can trust the Calgary Transit website to be up-to-date. |
149133786 | over 1 year ago | Can you please limit the size of your changesets? See osm.wiki/Changeset#Geographical_size_of_changesets . Making cross-Canada changes like this makes it extremely difficult for other contributors to understand what changes you've made. Thanks! |
147956937 | over 1 year ago | Don't be too hard on people: in fairness, putting traffic signals at every crossing of the road ways is an acceptable way of doing it. ;) I would tend to do it the way you've done it though, it's a lot simpler and more reflective of reality in my opinion! |
146388023 | over 1 year ago | I've just deleted this way entirely, it's mostly standing water. |
145556513 | over 1 year ago | This seems perfectly well-reasoned to me, along with osm.org/changeset/145557069. Langdon is the most populous hamlet in Alberta (not counting the "special" administrations at Sherwood Park and Fort McMurray), so it stands to reason it's going to be the most awkward edge case for `place=hamlet`. As long as this area doesn't become an inner boundary for Rocky View County (i.e. as Irricana, Beiseker, Cochrane, Crossfield and Airdrie are), because no matter what we tag Langdon it's still part of RVC, it seems fine to me! :) |
145419959 | over 1 year ago | Hi 022, apologies for the belated reply. Yes I have already reported this user. Twice, in fact. |
145275022 | over 1 year ago | Hello ContraBand, I presume you got the land ownership info you aded in this changeset from a Mountain View County map. It shouldn't be presented in the `name=*` key, 'name' should only be used for the name of the feature in question. I.e. you mapped farmland with `name=DALEY, R VAN TIGHEM, T`, but that farmer's field is not *named* "DALEY, R VAN TIGHEM, T". That's not what you *call* the field itself. Know what I mean? That said I think you've tangentially brought up something worth talking about at greater length, which is the appropriateness of adding the names of land owners to the map itself. I have started a discussion at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/names-of-land-owners/107411. I'd love if you would participate in that discussion. Thanks! |
145419959 | over 1 year ago | I have manually reverted this changeset, and parts of changesets 142207752 and 142989112; there is no connection between Kingsview Road, Range Road 293A and the new 40th Avenue interchange |
145416217 | over 1 year ago | Can someone local to the Edmonton area review these changes? Judging from aerial imagery the changes to Stony Plain Road are just made-up crap. |
145413658 | over 1 year ago | As far as I can tell every change you've made here to the roads at the Highway 8/Stoney interchange is a complete fabrication. It's all nonsense, there's no tunnel underneath the road carrying Lower Springbank Rd for example: that's complete BS. GregHeffley275, being that your changes are falsehoods and junk, and given you've been completely ignoring every attempt to communicate with you, I have reported you as a vandal. Can someone else revert this changeset? Or at least the changes to the roads? Perhaps the additional building and other ways are worth saving, but the roads changes are pure garbage. |
145411335 | over 1 year ago | Once again I have manually reverted your changes to Mini Thni Road. I don't know how many times I have to keep doing this before you either get a clue or bugger off, but *Alberta Highway 133X no longer exists*. There's no signage, and the provincial government doesn't maintain this road as a provincial highway anymore. I have kept the `old_ref=133X` tagging here, but otherwise I am going to keep changing this back every time you touch it. Please stop ignoring these changeset messages. |
144675290 | over 1 year ago | Oh thank you! It's a slow road, but we're gettin' there. ;) |
145382216 | over 1 year ago | I've manually reverted this changeset, see osm.org/changeset/145385059 |
145381925 | over 1 year ago | Why did you extend Highway 2A to Balzac? 2A doesn't exist south of Crossfield. Why did you create a new Highway 54 relation? There already is a Highway 54 relation. Since when is there a tunnel from Crossiron Mills mall to the Rona+ (née Lowe's)? *What are you doing?* I can see some of your changes and additions are legit, and then you riddle your changesets with blatantly false crap. It seems patently obvious to me you're just the user Evpac, evading the block imposed on you about three weeks ago. (osm.org/user_blocks/15424) If you want to continue to contribute to the map you need to start communicating with people when they ask you what the hell you're doing. |
145382216 | over 1 year ago | Hello again Greg, You're adding stuff to the map that is out of date. Mini Thni Road, the old Morley Road, is no longer Alberta Highway 133X. Hasn't been for a long time. Again: where are you getting your sources? |
145374669 | over 1 year ago | Hi Shelby, I see you are a relatively new contributor to OpenStreetMap; welcome! As you are new, you may be unfamiliar with the functionality of the map editors and with tagging guidelines. Please note that a road being publicly inaccessible is insufficient justification for deleting it from the map. Access to roads can be specified with `access=*`. See osm.wiki/Key:access. In this case, for example, the road you deleted was already tagged as `access=private`. Most data consumers who use OSM for general (public) traffic routing would thus summarily ignore this road, but the underlying data would remain for other users. Please review the link to the OSM wiki above, and be careful about deleting things. It would be much appreciated if you undid your change here, and your first changeset osm.org/changeset/145373499. Thanks! |
145346173 | over 1 year ago | Added what things? I see you made changes to the proposed interchange at Stoney Trail and 11 St NE in Calgary, changing the tagging from `highway=proposed` to `highway=construction`, which indicates that the road is currently being built. I can with 100% certainty tell you that that's completely untrue. As per my comment on osm.org/changeset/145340785: what are your sources? You're making some changes, particularly in the Calgary area, that are demonstrably untrue. |
