153746705 | about 1 year ago | Hi TriangleMaple, I reverted some changes to Maywood school. 1) I removed the building=school tag from the school grounds area,
Check out the wiki for some more context:

153742128 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for contributing these local features. Let me know if you have any questions about contributing! |
152975699 | about 1 year ago | Since the businesses each have an address, I think it would be best to leave the address attached to each business node. (in addition to the building) Some people combine the building and business together as a single area, but I think this makes some tags unclear as to if they apply to the business or building. It would resolve the duplicate/redundant address listing, however. Thoughts? |
152782507 | about 1 year ago | It appears that this business still exists so should not have been deleted. Did you intend to remove the tags relating to "coinos"? I have reverted the change for now. |
151789011 | about 1 year ago | Hi arjweddell, thanks for your reply and the additional information. It is great to hear that the city is using OpenStreetMap data in its work! > It’s also important for people who use OSM as a base for network analysis that the streets be properly classified in order to set up preferences and hierarchies. I completely agree and this is why I raised the issue to begin with. There's a saying, "garbage in = garbage out". I agree with what Jarek explained: tagging roads as unclassified is valid and common practice in OpenStreetMap. In addition to Jarek's [link to the highway=unclassified wiki page][1], have you reviewed the [wiki guidelines for tagging roadways in Canada][2]? This helped me understand OSM road classifications much better. If your intent is to get different results from a tool like Streetlight Data, it may be better to reach out to their developers to change how they interpret the data. The OSM community tries to avoid ["mapping for the renderer"][3] and in this case there exist clear guidelines for tagging the roads as unclassified. I appreciate that you improved many incorrectly tagged roads; others should remain unclassified. Having reviewed the wiki more closely now, I will be making several changes to road classifications in Vancouver. I welcome further discussion since my interpretation is not necessarily best. I hope you continue to contribute to this collaborative mapping project! Thanks,

152390263 | about 1 year ago | Hello Ben, Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for updating the map! Can you give a bit more context to what you have "added/fixed"? Your comment is not helpful to someone trying to understand what you have changed and the area you have edited is very large. Thanks!

151858755 | about 1 year ago | Hi Joe, do you have a source for this name? Sometimes people like to create their own names so I'm just checking if this is actually its name or not.

151742345 | about 1 year ago | Hi MassiveDaikon, thanks for these update. Careful with the use of name.
Thanks,

151789011 | about 1 year ago | Hello and thanks for updating the map! Can you provide some context about why you changed these road types? Being 'unclassified' is technically valid and does not mean it needs to be classified. I took a quick look: Most of the changes here look good, but I do not agree with some of them, particularly around Stanley Park and the Port. It may have been better to submit your changes in pieces instead of city-wide. It makes it difficult to review the changes with such a dense changeset. Thanks,

141482608 | about 1 year ago | Thanks for the explanation, this makes sense. |
141482608 | about 1 year ago | I think I was trying to separate the scrub ground cover by creating way 1209175050 from the existing 102355693. I probably just split at the nodes (8412872122 and 366497349) and iD split all the ways and relations and not just the scrub I was working on. I recombined the ways in changeset 102355693. Does it make a difference how many ways are used to create an area? I have never paid attention to this part of the data model. Thanks, Joel |
151376392 | about 1 year ago | Thanks for these additions! Please keep it up, if you can. I appreciate the new business listings. |
150859169 | about 1 year ago | This is great context, I didn't realize this is how the Mapathons worked. Thank you for your thoroughness. |
150732631 | about 1 year ago | That's awesome, I didn't know you had such resources available to you. This is great. I appreciate your work updating this. Thanks,

150387802 | about 1 year ago | Hello, Please square the buildings after you draw them. You can do this in the iD editor by selecting the shape and pressing 'Q'. Right now the buildings are weird shapes because they have not been squared. Thanks,

150805258 | about 1 year ago | Hello, You dragged the cul-de-sac to the wrong location. Please be careful when editing. Thanks,

150859169 | about 1 year ago | Hello, I think you made a mistake here - there are two traces on top of each other. |
150732631 | about 1 year ago | Was this checked recently? The road was completely closed early in April. Thanks, joel56dt |
