A little pre-travel mapping.

Before heading to the Tri-Cities (Richland, Kennewick, Pasco) Washington are, I spent some time comparing OSM data to Yahoo images. Most of my effort was spent aligning ways to the images, tagging bridges, adding ref= tags, and adding the "opposite" way for some motorways. I also spent time drawing parts of the PSC airport.

I don't really trust the "Richland Y" area. I'm not sure how far along the construction had progressed when the Yahoo images were taken.

Split ways and adjusted layer and bridge tags from Barstow, California to Water Rd.

Split some ways and tagged some bridges.

Dropped a bunch of unneeded nodes from the northbound way. Changed some ways to trunk to match the rest of the highway.

This just didn't look right when compared to the Yahoo image where it passes under I-40, so...

I disconnected Observatory Access Rd from an un-named way (that I can't see in the image), connected the two "Observatory" roads, and adjusted the nodes to follow the way visible in the Yahoo image.

Unknown street name, adjusted ways and (bridge and layer) tags. Part of westbound I-40 didn't exist, added it based on my track log.

West Flagstaff Interchange / W Route 66, adjusted alignments and (highway, ref, layer, and bridge) tags.

S Flagstaff Ranch Rd added motorway_links. Also adjusted alignments, and (ref, layer, and bridge) tags.

ref, bridge, and layer tags for Hughes Ave interchange. Also adjusted nearby ways to match Yahoo images and my west bound track.

Added Parks Rest Area.

Changed the alignment of Arizona State Highway 260 as it runs through Camp Verde. The old alignment (Finnie Flat Rd and S Main St) are now tagged as Highway=Residential. I also added ref tags to 260 and 87 between I-17 and Payson.

The northbound and southbound ways don't run close south of here. The northbound way was tagged originally residential.

Start a little north of Payson and head south.

This is about as far south as I'm going to go.

Added Mazatzal Rest Area.

I can see northbound and southbound 87 in the Yahoo image. I'll work south from here.

Stopped moving north. My northbound only trace follows the single way that shows on the Yahoo images
