Changeset When Comment

You have deleted a small road in this changeset - did you intend to?
It appears to be a one-way road across the two carriageways, presumably to get to the B1068 from the A12. Did you survey and find this turning (turnings?) not present, or was this accidental?

This changeset looks good too :)

Another good straightforward change :)

This changeset is nice and simple and easy to see what changed. Good work!

What was the purpose of this change? You've deleted parts of the building? Please include details in the text box when you save changes so you and others can look back and see what changed :)

Does the current route follow the fenced-off section? I'm not familiar enough with what my friend said about it.

I've tweaked this to improve the directions and so on; adjusting the order of the elements shows they connect now.
While it's clear that NCN1 goes under the roundabout north (given left-side peel-off on gallowgate), I'm not sure if the south-wards route does actually go the pavement route (officially, at least), particularly since a friend indicated that the pavement cycle (only?) route has been fenced-off?

Hi,
It's a little difficult to know exactly what you did here; presumably just a minor change? It is useful when saving changes to add something meaningful in the box to describe what you've changed, for you and others to look back on.
Thanks!

No problem, it's good to see someone else so actively mapping when they get the chance :) Sorry not to get to meet you at the hackday.

Shape: what I meant by square, is that the ends don't match the shapes at the end very well.
Alignment: while absolute alignment is awkward, the buildings look like they 'overhang' the middle service road, because while the shape is good generally, it's based on the roof, not the (slightly offset) ground plan, combined probably with an angular edge of the building.
Sorry, not meaning to go on about it, they're minor points really; I'm just wary of adding 'ok' data and then intending to go back later, as I don't always remember to myself :) Hence lots of notes from yours truly ;)

Cool; it renders now too, not that this is always a good reason! ;)

27129505 over 10 years ago

No problem; I know what it's like :)
(I err on the side of micro-edits at times, instead!)

This is bing-traced; what lead you to select natural=grass? It's quite an uncommon tag. It's not listed on the natural page on the wiki. There has been debate about landuse=grass and landcover tags. I'd consider landuse=grass for now, if this is really just traced from bing?

This is a big area for one edit; would you consider geographically smaller edits to make it clearer what's changed?

What does the changeset comment mean? Particularly given simply the addition of 6 nodes?

27143642 over 10 years ago

Hey Spark,
While it's good to see buildings on the map, these are very square, which is not always the case at the ends.
Also, lots of these buildings have extensions on, at least to some extent.

That's good to hear :)
Another pointer, just looking at what's here: you shouldn't need a node *and* an area for an object (ie. the brewery); normally if the latter is present, then it is the more-detailed form and information can be transferred onto it.

Thanks for your contributions! Please consider using a descriptive comment when saving information to the map, as it helps you and other mappers understand what you have done and why, when looking back at the changes.

Please consider inserting a useful and descriptive comment when saving future contributions - then you and other mappers can see a summary of what you've done :) Thanks!
