Hi, some of these changes don't seem to match what's on the ground--can you give more information about your sources?

I noticed a gap of different classification at S 4th St near the courthouse. The 2nd wiki page you cite talks about not creating islands of classification based solely on traffic counts, so I hope you're keeping that in mind, as well as trying to ensure classifications maintain a connected network when viewed as a whole. Not criticizing what you've done, but just pointing out there's a bit of art as well as science to US road classifications...as you can tell from the ~15 years of discussions on this topic with no clear resolution! :)

Welcome to OpenStreetMap and congrats on changeset #1! For situations like this where there are two different points of interest within one building, it's common to create two nodes within the building, one for the restaurant and one for the grocery store. Hope this makes sense. Thanks again for contributing and happy mapping!

Hi, I noticed you removed the periods from a bunch of things near U.S. Bank Stadium. This seems to be an error according to local sources. For example, Metro Transit includes the periods in the light rail stop name online: https://www.metrotransit.org/imap/0/56330 And on the U.S. Bank Stadium's media page, it includes the periods: https://www.usbankstadium.com/connect-with-us/media-information Would appreciate if you can fix these please. Thanks!

FYI some of the name:etymology:wikidata tags have the name instead of the Q #

Hi, I noticed you retagged the playground to be leisure=fitness_center, which isn't a valid tag. leisure=fitness_centre is used for places like health clubs/gyms, but that doesn't seem to fit this place. leisure=fitness_station is used for outdoor fitness equipment--is that what you're thinking of? Happy mapping!

Hi, I was curious why you deleted the proposed Bottineau LRT line--not clear from your changeset comment

No problem, there are a lot of options to tagging, especially with access restrictions! One thing to remember is that we only edit the data, then routers can take that data and use it to help people navigate. So if you've been seeing people ride bikes through the golf course and they shouldn't be, you can add something specific like bicycle=no to the paths. Will that stop people from biking through? No, but it will stop people from being *routed* through if the router uses OSM data. If you use a router, you may be able to find out how often they update it, then see if your changes made a difference.

Hi, it looks like you made two changes which are against the recommended tagging for golf carts:
1) removed highway=service ("In May 2019, the access tag golf_cart=* was approved to be used with highway tags instead of this tag." osm.wiki/Tag:golf=cartpath).
2) changed the access from designated to permissive (permissive is actually...more permissive "Open to general traffic until such time as the owner revokes the permission..." and designated is far more common for cart paths https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/keys/golf_cart#values ) Hope you find this useful--happy mapping!

OK, then I'm not sure what landuse=ritual is supposed to mean. From reading the wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam-ondi-Ahman) it could be tagged with place=locality (a place with a name but no population), or possibly one of the historic tags.

On the river name, according to the Thompson River wikipedia entry, "In Iowa, it is known simply as the Grand River and passes near the city of Grand River." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thompson_River_(Missouri) It'd probably be best for someone local to take a look--you could add a note.

Hi, landuse=ritual is not a tag that is used. Maybe you are looking for something related to place of worship? osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dplace_of_worship

Welcome to OpenStreetMap! It appears you're editing a number of industrial-related tags in this changeset, but it's not clear from your "general updating" changeset comment why. Could you clarify the reasoning for your changes? Thanks much and happy mapping!

Great--do you work for the MPRB? Either way, if you're bringing outside data into OSM, make sure it's compatible with OSM's license :) Info at the Imports wiki page: osm.wiki/Import

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. If you're trying to add a place to the map, create a node or way for the location instead of picking a nearby intersection. Check out the editor walkthrough if it's not clear. Happy mapping!

Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thanks for putting work into editing the Hiawatha Golf Course. However, I'm wondering if you saw the golf course page on the OSM Wiki, which has some guidelines and best practices? osm.wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dgolf_course I ask because some of your edits don't seem to follow the tagging guidelines there. For example, using the "ref" tag for hole numbers, without the "#", instead of "name" tag. I know some of the golf tagging does not display on the standard OSM map right now, but it's being worked on. And it's most important that the data be correct, not that things display on that map a certain way. To show what the proper tagging can look like, this French map does a nice job rendering golf course tags: http://tile.openstreetmap.fr/?zoom=16&lat=48.72648&lon=2.60806 Hope you have a chance to take a look at the wiki. Happy mapping!

Hi, I noticed you tagged the whole building with the bar/restaurant info. However, since the POI only takes up part of the building, this would be better mapped as its own node. Can you please fix and take this into consideration in your future mapping? Thanks!

Hi, I noticed you created an area around Minnehaha Falls for a viewpoint. Generally that tag is used for a point that is a particular spot to view a scene. Sometimes I've seen it used on an area that is a platform or something like that. However, I don't think it's meant to be used as a viewshed, of all the areas you might be able to see something. Hi, I noticed that you added areas for the Sonic and Iberia Bank businesses but tagged them as buildings. 1) since the actual buildings were already mapped and tagged, these area don't seem especially necessary so you might consider removing them, but 2) if you want to map those areas, it'd probably be best to tag them as landuse=commercial. Happy mapping!

Hi, the way you did this seems kind of weird. Piers are "a raised walkway over water" and are usually a way or sometimes area, but the area would never include the water. Most of the area you tagged seems more like a quay "length of coast designed to allow vessels of some size to moor alongside the shore" but again no water area would be included. For the larger area (including the water) maybe port or harbour would be better?

This changeset seems to have removed all OSM data relating to George Floyd and George Floyd Square. Can you please explain your rationale? These modifications do not match the situation on the ground. Thanks
