Woodlands Historic park, Melbourne, Australia
Posted by petdr on 6 October 2008 in English. Last updated on 7 October 2008.Went for another bike ride on the weekend.
This time along the Monee ponds creek until somerton road and then across to Woodlands Historic Park. Made a few bad decisions in the park and ended up inside an electrified fence on my road bike following the fence line over some pretty rough ground until I found another gate to let me out.
Anyway did some of the other tracks in the park using the yahoo imagery. Want to head back out there with my mtb and get all of the tracks and fences in the park.

That'd be great getting the rougher mountain bike tracks for Westerfolds Park.
On Monday I cycled around the park and added in most of the car parks, toilets, and drinking fountains there.
Some day I'll map out the Bridge that goes across to Finn's Reserve, and probably more amenities around Westerfolds Park.

Glad to see that I've inspired someone to start mapping the park, however I can't see the results in OSM, have you uploaded them yet?

Yes, they've been uploaded, they will be rendered in mapnik ~ this thursday perhaps.
If you want to see my handy work now, press the blue "+" button on the right of the screen, and choose osmarender.

Actually I see the problem, I confused the park name. I was at Woodlanks Historical Park, not at Westerfolds, which now that I remember is on the Yarra River. Hence me not seeing any of your changes.
Anyway diary entry corrected.
