Cities by only buildings

Yuzen-it-id schleuss af 26 July 2016 s English

Just a quick post here:

Maning Sambale already posted about the meta data added by Los Angeles Building Import. We’ve imported more than 1.2 million buildings and we were flattered to talk about our work at last weekend’s State of the Map. You can see our slides here.

But what I find particularly interesting is how this building data stacks up against other city imports. These maps show any polygon tagged as building=value. Feedback welcome.

Jon, Sorry I missed your talk. Can’t wait to see the video.

The Latest LA data looks very rich. Do you have a breakdown of building=*?

This is incredible @schleuss! Just showed how much more valuable was added to OSM during the LA building import.

I would love if you did this for New Haven, it has nearly 100% building coverage non import pure community effort.

Great job! Maybe someday every building from San Francisco to L.A. will be in OSM. Let’s do San Jose next.

@Glassman

Thanks! I do have a breakdown somewhere. Let em see if I can dig it up.

@redsteakraw I’ll look at it. And I should probably make a post describing how to do it.

Thanks all!
