How many lines in planet.osm?

I am processing the planet file at home. The task is running for three days now.
I have processed more than 1 000 000 000 lines and would like to guess, when it will finish.
I know I can run
$ bunzip2 <plant.osm.bz2 | wc -l
but this will take some hours and will slow down my computer at lot.

I didn't find the question/answer in
osm.wiki/Planet.osm/FAQ
shall I put it there?

Fehlende McDonalds in Deutschland 3

ich habe die Liste von McDos aktualisiert, die laut mcdonalds.de existieren, ich aber nicht in OSM finden konnte.
Bitte nicht einfach eintragen, sondern nur wenn man mit GPS vor Ort war. Man muss auch nicht da essen.

Es fehlen 227 davon viele in Bahnhöfen oder Einkaufszentren.

Tools for Windows Mobile

Today I found the "Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys" from MS.
So if you have a Windows Mobile PPC or smartphone look for
CECopy and maybe "RAPI Start".

CECopy can copy files from and to WM via Activesync from the commandline.
RAPI Start can run a program via Activesync from the commandline of the PC.

I will use CECopy to copy audio notes and photos and gpx-tracks from the PPC to my PC.

int_name for BG

I changed so far 165 villages and town to have an int_name/name:en.

At first I downloaded a map from three tiles for bulgaria for garmin
from http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php .
But my garmin has no cyrillic letters, so I had a lot of '????' names.

Look at osm.org/user/wieland/edits for my changes.

There are still 85 towns and a lot of other names (peaks, etc.).

I know there are different ways to write names in latin letters.
I did: "Я" -> Ya, "Ю" -> Yu, ...
