45489359 | almost 8 years ago | I am aware of the turning circle tag and chose not to use that so expect no change required, but as noted, I will check. |
45489359 | almost 8 years ago | Most satellite imagery is out of date for this location. I am sure I mapped it right but will check again when next in Coventry. |
50943658 | almost 8 years ago | Whilst we are having this conversation, can we agree the format. I see 3 choices: "Morfa Mawr / Queen's Road"
The Belgium community uses the second, the use of ";" in the third is well established. Does anyone else use "/"? The issue with the Belgium approach here is that "-" is used within the Welsh name quite frequently. |
47005822 | over 8 years ago | Good spot! We need a way of sharing our list of checked edits so that we don't duplicate effort :-) |
46723208 | over 8 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap. It looks like you have used the "name" box to add descriptions. This isn't necessary as we already have the detail that this is a meadow. You may want to check out some historic maps to see if these fields actually have names. A good place to look is on the National Library of Scotland's website (the map section has historic maps for all of GB). |
46736625 | over 8 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap. Good work on your first few edits :-) Beware though - the bing imagery is misaligned and quite old now. Imagery from Warwickshire County Council is more up to date and has better alignment. For more see http://www.mappa-mercia.org/2014/03/warwickshire-aerial-imagery.html I've moved this back in line with the WCC imagery. |
47123225 | over 8 years ago | You can use the strava display to see where people are commonly walking:

46465115 | over 8 years ago | Hi. Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Can you just confirm - is this neighbourhood City Wharf or Canal View as we have both names? |
45713270 | over 8 years ago | Nice one. Thanks for contributing to OpenStreetMap :-D |
45589341 | over 8 years ago | Great addition to the map. Thanks |
45526075 | over 8 years ago | Thanks for adding this new residential development. |
45480467 | over 8 years ago | Great set of edits - thanks. If you spot any other changes that aren't in OpenStreetMap please don't hesitate to add them. |
44895276 | over 8 years ago | Hi, Thanks for contributing to OSM. If you were wondering why the path didn't show up it was because you hadn't marked it as a path. You need to draw the line (as you did) then specify that it is a path. I've fixed this now so it should appear soon. Also you can view all paths we know the legal designation for on: http://product.itoworld.com/map/87?lon=-1.84506&lat=52.20955&zoom=13&fullscreen=true&open_sidebar=map_key |
44636015 | over 8 years ago | Thanks for editing OpenStreetMap. I've adjusted this slightly to add the leisure=miniature_golf tag so that it appears properly. |
44678843 | over 8 years ago | Needs a proper survey but I've done a basic revert of your revert as the user was right to add a park here: changeset 44807049 |
44678843 | over 8 years ago | Not bogus trigpoint! Please check before reverting. This is a grassed "park" area with paths through it. |
44564344 | over 8 years ago | Hi. Thanks for joining OpenStreetMap and adding some footpath. Much appreciated :-) Just a few tips:
Give me a shout if you want any more tips. We have a local group too (see mappa-mercia.org). |
44042265 | over 8 years ago | Hi both, Thanks for responding. @trigpoint: I don't think this was a case of copying, just bringing in comparisons to prove that it isn't quite so simple cut. Also in my rush to send a message, I actually wrote it on the wrong changeset. On this changeset Narborough Road is fine. By convention the roundabout adopts the highest classification of the roads passing through it (so "Trunk)". The changes I wanted to focus my comment on were those changing the road class on the ringroad north of here (i.e. heading clockwise). There the signs are green. Best regards, |
