136522510 | about 2 years ago | Hi, thanks for realigning these trails! Just wanted to let you know that we're allowed to use the Strava heatmap and lidar imagery from Oregon DOGAMI to help map wooded trails like these. To use Strava heatmap in the web editor, follow instructions for 'iD' here:
To use the lidar imagery, open background settings in the editor, click on the three dots next to Custom, and copy-paste this link:
Feel free to reach out if you need any help with setting this up. |

136070937 | about 2 years ago | Hi, It looks like this bus stop is already mapped:
Also please note that the "Bus Station" preset should only be used for bus terminals/transit centers (see osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dbus_station) |
136035457 | about 2 years ago | Hi, Thanks for reaching out! However, I'm a little unsure about what you're trying to point out. Further clarification would be appreciated. If you're talking about mapping charge points in addition to charging stations, from my understanding individual charge points can be mapped when there are more than one at a single charging station (see osm.wiki/Tag:amenity=charging_station#How_to_map). In this case, each charging station contains six charge points. |
135797412 | about 2 years ago | Hi, Please note that it's good practice to follow the one feature, one OSM element principle (see osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element). Since Mill Ends Park includes the whole planter and not just the tree, I've gone ahead and readded the area for it. |
135788871 | about 2 years ago | Please keep in mind that roads of the same classification "should collectively form a coherent network of interconnected roads, without dangling spurs or 'islands' of disconnected roads" (see osm.wiki/United_States/Highway_classification) |
135573237 | over 2 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Thank you for your first contribution. It is important to note however that the 'forestry' field is used to specify whether forestry vehicles such as tractors are allowed on certain features rather than denoting tree cover (see osm.wiki/Key:forestry). I recommend mapping each tree instead as individual points instead. Happy mapping! |
135174381 | over 2 years ago | Hi, Please note that it's good practice to follow the one feature, one OSM element principle (see osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element). Since this apartment complex has already been mapped as an area, I've removed the point added in this changeset. |
134521118 | over 2 years ago | Thanks for bringing this to my attention and fixing it! |
134115552 | over 2 years ago | This changeset has been reverted in changeset 134119421 |
134115552 | over 2 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! Please don't remove roads just because they're on private property (see osm.wiki/Why_we_won%27t_delete_roads_on_private_property). Instead, you can change access restrictions on the road using the Allowed Access field in the web editor. |
133633522 | over 2 years ago | Hi, Please note that everyone can see the changes you upload to OpenStreetMap. We generally do not map where individual people live because of privacy concerns (see osm.wiki/Limitations_on_mapping_private_information) Also, please make sure to check your edits before uploading: it looks like you accidentally dragged nodes for these two roads:
In the future, please do use relevant changeset comments: '#hotosm-project-14311 #TürkiyeEQ060223 #Syria #OMHAP #MissingMaps' doesn't help other mappers understand what you are doing and isn't relevant to the changes made here. Read osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments to see what makes a good changeset comment. |
128433160 | over 2 years ago | Hi, Shoulders should not be tagged separately from the main way, a shoulder tag can be added to the way to indicate a wide shoulder: osm.wiki/Key:shoulder Also, it looks like you're editing the map on behalf of Moovit. We require that paid editors follow the Organised Editing Guidelines and document the activities your company is doing:

130701038 | over 2 years ago | Hi,
For example, 'W Bucks Rd' should be unabbreviated to 'West Bucks Road'. Also, I would leave turning loops such as (osm.org/node/10295661602) without a name |
132908142 | over 2 years ago | NAD suggests that this building is 421, not 419 |
132557622 | over 2 years ago | Please note that we cannot copy off of Google Maps, see osm.wiki/FAQ#Why_don't_you_just_use_Google_Maps/whoever_for_your_data? |
130654465 | over 2 years ago | Please note that the name field shouldn't be used to describe features in OSM, see osm.wiki/Names#Names_are_not_for_descriptions |
127056439 | over 2 years ago | Please note that we don't abbreviate street names in OSM, see osm.wiki/Abbreviations Also, it appears that you are editing on behalf of a company. If so, that's perfectly fine, but we require that you comply with OpenStreetMap's organized editing guidelines document the activities your company is doing on the wiki:

126754410 | over 2 years ago | Please note that the name field shouldn't be used to describe features in OSM. If a road doesn't have a name, the name field should be left blank and the tag `noname=yes` should be added (see osm.wiki/Names#No_name) |
125028301 | over 2 years ago | Please note that we don't abbreviate road names in OSM, see osm.wiki/Abbreviations |
