Hallo BZO-Velten,

Wilkommen zum OpenStreetMap.

Feedback; Ok.

Du kannst auch die haupt-nütze von Gebau eintragen, bzw;

Feedback; Here I'll follow up about imagery. There is more aerial imagery and street level imagery which we can use, due to it being under an open license or with permission, unlike i.e. Google data.
You can find it in the editor on the right, under the imagery layers and data layers menu.

Currently -this varies per place and in time-, Esri Clarity (and Bing) are the best layers to use in Ireland because of their alignment (how well they represent the position of objects in reality). Esri Clarity is the clearest, but not the newest.
In Ireland as far as I've seen, the following currently applies
Esri Clarity is oldest
then Bing and Esri (the regular Esri layer) which are from right about the same time
and then Maxar Premium, which is a again a bit newer than that.
Don't be surprised if the aerials are lagging behind reality, people have to take them etc.

As mentioned Bing, Esri and Maxar have a slightly different alignment from Esri Clarity.. you can map from them, but eventually it can be good to learn how to align those layers to existing objects. Otherwise, you can also upload GPS tracks if you need the alignment of an object which is not visible on aerials yet.

For ireland there's also the Ireland British War Office 1:25k GSGS 3906 which you can use, this is a really old map, which can show you some things like possible names and historic functions or boundaries of things. It's not that important if you're not into history.

In some cases, the street level imagery will be newer than the aerials. In some cases not. Some areas do not have street level imagery.

-

The building you drew goes underneath a tree. If you now look at this building with Esri Clarity, you can move and extend it so you get its true size. Don't forget to square the building again by pressing "q" or right clicking and selecting "Square" (though I think you know about this already).

If you know what type of outbuilding it is, you can try to find a tag which fits via the Map Feature page I send you in my private welcome message.

Hey TJMc,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I have sent you an extensive welcome message with useful information and links as a private message.

Feedback; Housenames are part of the address. You should change name= to addr:housename=

Tagging source= on objects is redundant, they can be derived from your changesets. You can specify them yourself when saving your edits, preferably every time you save your edits. The editor will automaticly list some or all imagery you used, but you should be better able to list those.

Kind regards,

Daniel

On behalf of the OpenStreetMap community.

Hallo Kosh0766,

Wilkommen zum OpenStreetMap.

Feedback; Das stimmt.
https://www.mapillary.com/app/?pKey=571220503972744&focus=photo

Btw oneway=no should only be tagged if you're afraid someone else will tag oneway=yes. Since it's a dead-end, I'd suggest removing it.

Hallo hagik,

Wilkommen zum OpenStreetMap.

Deine änderungen..
https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=116582542
path => primary
maxspeed=80

Is Grace's Old Castle a historic=castle?

@Rps333 I have replied to and closed said note.

Afaik the DWG will look at their contributions and consider what to revert / keep. They are always busy ;)

osm.org/way/233804153
Is the start_date specifically for this building part or for the whole building outline?

osm.org/way/839042195
Just fyi, it still says amenity=courthouse and the architect name and wikipedia on the other building part.

Also, is there a skylight (plastic/glass roof) on top of the courtyard? If not, I will remove it from the building relation and add it as an inner to the building outline; aka it will no longer render as building.

Hey Anne,

For fuel stations, the driveway should be tagged highway=service + service=driveway and if applicable oneway=yes
osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dfuel#Surroundings

osm.org/way/1024008420
The way segment going underneath the roof can optionally be tagged covered=yes. tunnel=building_passage should not be used here;
osm.wiki/Tag:tunnel%3Dbuilding_passage#When_not_to_use

Daniel

Feedback;

osm.org/node/1998558467
Als je de adres-tags uit de BAG
addr:*=
source=BAG
source:date=
laat staan kan je de POI-tags zoals
phone=
website=
gewoon verwijderen.
(POI; Point of Interest zoals bar etc.)

Hey KVI0n,

Just fyi, your changeset comment is inaccurate. You've only created new nodes in this changeset, not connected multiple ways, so your changeset comment could be i.e. "extended road".

Also, please use "PDOK aerial imagery Beeldmateriaal.nl 25cm latest" when working in the Netherlands.

Regards,

Daniel
