155714029 | 11 months ago | Hi, I noticed some large ways in this changeset that are untagged, north of Aniwa Lane. Maybe you were trying to create an area of some kind but didn't finish? If you'd be able to add tags or delete, that'd be great. Happy mapping! |
155218055 | 12 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! The tags you've used on this railway make it appear as if it currently exists. You should tag it as proposed (ie railway=proposed) to be more accurate, otherwise it is likely to be deleted. Even with that tag, given it is a very long range proposal, you may want to check with others about the best ways to handle this, for example on the OSM US Slack. More info specific to railway tagging is on the wiki: osm.wiki/Railways Happy mapping! |
155125595 | 12 months ago | I'd say adding disused is definitely one solution. Given these bus stops were originally imported 14 years ago (osm.org/changeset/3740505) there have been and will continue to be changes, so it also seems OK to delete, especially if the sign is gone and route changed. When the sign is still there, but another sign added that the bus no longer stops there, disused probably makes the most sense. Happy mapping! |
154915197 | 12 months ago | Hi, thanks for adding to OpenStreetMap! I noticed in OSM Inspector that your edits created some self-intersections. https://tinyurl.com/bp5kvzx4 If you edit in this area using iD, and click on these ways it should highlight the issues. Could you take a look and try to resolve? Happy mapping! |
153560467 | 12 months ago | Hi, thanks for working on this golf course! Please look through the common pitfalls in golf course mapping--you seem to be doing some of them, especially adding tags as names. osm.wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dgolf_course#Common_mapping_pitfalls Happy mapping! |
116259249 | 12 months ago | This looks like a botched edit. I can't think of a valid reason to add addr tags to *every node* in this changeset. |
154465018 | 12 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Imagery does not show a hospital here. Do you have some local knowledge that it was built recently? If not, please remove it--OSM is for verifiable data only. Happy mapping! |
154414525 | 12 months ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! Imagery does not show a supermarket here. Do you have some local knowledge that it was built recently? If not, please remove it--OSM is for verifiable data only. Happy mapping! |
154449456 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! I noticed you tagged these points as amenity=post_box, which is meant for outgoing mail. I think these are actually boxes where mail gets delivered, which should be amenity=letter_box. See the wiki page for more info osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dletter_box Happy mapping! |
154331551 | about 1 year ago | Great you connected with folks there! |
154331551 | about 1 year ago | I see you added a connecting way from the bridge to 40th, but didn't add that way to the Riverlake Greenway bike route relation. The relation already routed over the footway and small chunk of 2nd Ave (essentially the other two sides of the triangle formed by your new way). I think either way could work, but probably would make sense to do one or the other. If you're not sure, it might be worth asking some other local users who edit bike infrastucture (like Jordan Leick?) or on the OSM US Slack. Happy mapping! |
154070663 | about 1 year ago | Hi, I happened across this changeset, and am wondering why you tagged nodes as bicycle=no as well as the ways? Typically the ways are tagged and that implicitly applies to nodes within the ways as well. I don't know if it's explicitly wrong, but it's a lot of extra work with no benefit. Happy mapping! |
153854841 | about 1 year ago | Hi, I noticed you added both name and religion for this temple, but while the religion is Hindu, the name says Buddhist? Guessing it should be one or the other! :) If this website is the correct temple, looks like the former is correct https://svtemplemn.org/ If you could verify and update that'd be great. Happy mapping! |
152804642 | about 1 year ago | In the NE corner of Mayer, it looks like you're roughing in the location of roads in a future development, rather than really putting in off-road tracks? If so it'd probably be better to tag highway=proposed, proposed=residential. If you are local and know what the road names will be, that'd be great detail to add as well. Happy mapping! |
152783034 | about 1 year ago | Hi Doug, thanks for taking a shot at this! One thing I'd note is that I don't believe it's possible for cars to go through this intersection on 41st, so you should split that road and 41st should end on each outside of Lyndale and not be in the middle at all. That will also make the turn restrictions unnecessary. The road route relation should be on both parts of Lyndale as well. Hope this helps! |
152598407 | about 1 year ago | Hi, I divided Lyndale then did some edits for the crossing on the north side of the intersection if that's a helpful model. (Since there is a physical barrier, dividing the highway is preferred to turn restrictions) osm.org/changeset/152602089 Happy mapping! Brad |
152338896 | about 1 year ago | Hi Doug, you have the right idea with the tag, but it should have both highway=crossing and crossing:island=yes (see osm.wiki/Key:crossing:island). Before getting too far into that, though, it looks like Lyndale needs to be split into two one-ways where the island is, and 45th St split so that cars won't get routed through the island. If you want help on that, you can message me! Happy mapping, Brad |
150817577 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for contributing. I see you added many golf-related features. I'd recommend you look at the wiki page about golf course tagging (osm.wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dgolf_course) for some ways to better align with the best practices. For example, using the ref tag instead of name for hole numbers. It's very satisfying to get a course done--happy mapping! |
150694131 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap, thanks for adding to the map! One thing I noticed on this changeset is you tagged the Clear Sky apartment building as landuse=residential instead of as a building. Landuse could be used for the area the building is in (along with parking, etc). I fixed it, but thought I'd let you know since you're relatively new. Happy mapping! |
149028116 | over 1 year ago | Hi, noticed this changeset where you're tracing landuse right to the edge of the street. I don't think from a landuse (how it's actually sense it is usually very accurate to do that. The part between sidewalk and road is generally right-of-way anyway and owned by the government. Wonder if you'd consider keeping landuse inside the sidewalks in most cases? Thanks! |
