Changeset When Comment

Hello, welcome to OSM.
Thank you for your contribution, however I am not sure your change to Woodgate Drive is actually correct. There appear to be be houses on Woodgate Drive, so if motor_vehicle=no how do householders reach their properties? Is there any signage at its junction with Forest Road?
Maybe the tag should motor_vehicle=private?
Thanks Phil

I have never seen any names on this section of the A50. I have carefully looked for signs saying Uttoxeter Road, but there aren't any.
IMHO the names should be removed unless there is verifiable evidence of their existence.

Hi
You seem to have added a 6th mini-roundabout to the magic roundabout.
It looks like one, but also seems odd.
Have you been there, have there been recent changes?
Thanks Phil

My apologies, that was a duplicate way. Sorry I should have looked harder when reviewing the change.
Thanks Phil

Hi
I think something has gone wrong here. You have deleted osm.org/way/388641349/history, this was a valid way and in so doing have lost detail that had been added by another mapper.
I assume this is some kind of automated edit, and the fact that the two ways share common nodes is the reason for the failure.
I have never seen your name in @talk-gb, so I assume you are not following osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct.
These changes should be reverted and you should improve your methods before proposing them to the local community.
Thanks Phil

You have not explained your reasons for your deletions. And you have clear not read https://historicengland.org.uk/terms/website-terms-conditions/ and in particular the section on copyright and reproduction. Please revert all of your changesets violating any copyrights and refrain from copying from forbidden sources in future.

Please can you explain this changeset to me, you seem to have deleted quite a lot of nodes and redrawn similar ones some distance away.
What were you trying to achieve, were the originals in the wrong place? Are you local, or have you visited these places to confirm?
Thanks Phil

I have reverted this, the UK community will decide how to correctly tag these shops

I have already reverted it, the UK community will work out how they should be tagged.

Thanks

I have deleted this

Also bear in mind that placing the node too far away from a routable way will break routing.
The centres may not be obvious to a remote mapper, but I tend to assume local mappers had placed the nodes where they were for a reason

Thank you

Hi, do you have an office at this location that callers can visit to book a taxi in person?
Your website only has phone/web contact details.
We only include businesses that have verifiable locations, we are a map, not a business directory.

36502116 over 9 years ago

Please revert it then

Police is a word, rather than an abbreviation.
The day the signs on SPAR shops in the UK changes, then local mappers will change the tags.
In the meantime this change needs to be reverted.

36501921 over 9 years ago

SPAR is an abbreviation as you have mentioned, the shops are signed SPAR, not Spar. This change should be reverted.

Hi, welcome to OSM.
I think something has gone a little wrong here.
Node osm.org/node/3935403914 is tagged as a bar, it is in the middle of the road, that seems unlikely.
Is way osm.org/way/315460856 really called Stives Place, surely it is St Ives Place?
You have tagged it as oneway, which is impossible for a dead end.

No response from mapper received so I am reverting this change

36361342 over 9 years ago

Should probably be highway=service , service=driveway, foot=yes, designation=public_footpath

unclassified is for public roads

36361342 over 9 years ago

If it is joined by a prow it should be foot=yes in at least one direction from the junction.
If motor vehicles are prohibited it should be either a service or track, rather than unclassified
