Hello Gal,

There is nothing urgent in resolving this.

I would be very interested in understanding how the Moovit trip plan wants to handle hiking trails and help to see how it can accomplished using the OSM tags.

Hi Gal,

I mapped this hiking trail about 8 years ago. I don't know what is its condition now. In any case, this is a hiking trail, not a a paved road.

Can you clartify what is the source of your understanding? Did you visit the place, or did you get it as a report from a Moovit user?

Can you clarify if Moovit wants to route pedestrians though hiking trails. If not, how do you differentiate between hiking trails and other pedetsrian-only ways.

Best Regards,
Zeevc

Hello Gal,

What was the source of this edit?

As the original mapper of osm.org/way/211162368, I can guarantee you that it is not a stream.

The ואדי זיו stream was already mapped as
osm.org/way/547520385

Hello Ola_Alaa,

In this edit you have removed the "colour=black" tag of
osm.org/way/320825587
and
osm.org/way/160031956

The "colour" tag is part of the mapping conventions for hiking and biking trails in Israel
osm.wiki/Israel#Conventions_for_Hiking_and_Biking_Trails

In the future, please avoid deleting this tag.

Thanks,
Zeev

שלום Ondz,

בעריכה זו נמחק גם קטע של כביש 90, כפי שניתן לראות בניתוח כאן:

שלום דודי,

תודה על התרומה שלך ל OSM בעריכת ועדכון המפה!

בעריכה זו תייגת עם
tracktype=grade1
את הדרך
osm.org/way/309934217/history
משביל המסוע דרומה אל השביל השחור

כנראה שאתה לא מודע לזה שעל פי כללי התיוג בארץ,
osm.wiki/Israel#Conventions_for_Hiking_and_Biking_Trails

Hello,

I may not have been clear enough.
The main problem is that the name tag of several places is incorrect and it contains the text of the note.

I believe the note itself IS political because
1. Other "unrecognised" settelments don't have such a such a note.
2. The effort to recognize them is political movement, as can be seen in the source you cite.
3. The note does not refer to a "trouth on the ground".

I suggest you
1. Fix the name tags of the localities in this query - http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/12h4
2. Delete the "This locality remains unrecognized by the State of Israel." notes.
3. Discuss your future bulk editing and imports in the Israel OSM furum in advance.

97134498 over 4 years ago

Thank you for your response. It seems that the sources of your import does not consider the current trouth on the ground.

I suggest you
1. Delete all the ruins you added that do not have a presence on the ground.
2. Discuss your future bulk editing and imports in the Israel OSM furum in advance.

There are pleanty of sources for historical maps, and the history of the 1948 war in particular. Importing any data to OSM should follow to the OSM rules and guidelines.

I have no idea how this happened.
Anyway, I've deleted it.

Hello NFZANMNIM,

This looks like an import that was not described or discussed with the community.

Please refrain from further such imports or bulk updates and discuss your plans in advance with the Israeli OSM community at
http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewforum.php?id=33

Probably due to a bug in the import process, the "name:he" tag of several nodes was set to
"דאחיהnote=This locality remains unrecognized by the State of Israel."
while none of them is actually "דאחיה".
See http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/12h4 for the list.

In 30 other nodes you added a "note" tag saying "This locality remains unrecognized by the State of Israel." This is a political statement, not "facts on the ground".

The comments in osm.org/changeset/97134498 also apply here.

Best Regards,
zstadler
