אתה צודק לגמרי, זה מסוג הטעויות שאני מתקן מבלי לפנות לממפה.

Hello Mahmoud Daraghmeh Abu Oday,

Thank you for your contributions to OSM!

What is this "سهل المدراج" tourist attraction?

Usually, a tourist attraction has other tags that describe what it is.

Hello jean-ray2,

Thank you for your updates of OSM!

This edit disconnected
osm.org/way/311808380
and
osm.org/way/311808395
by introducing a new building and two walls.

This disconnect created a gap in the Annapurna Circuit trail here:
osm.org/changeset/148169916#map=19/28.816324/83.868028

Do you know what is the updated route of the Annapurna Circuit there?

Best regards,
Zeev

Hello Bavo Luysterborg,

Thanks for updating the tagging of the Sorgente spring.

Did you mean that the water are not legally tested to be drinkable?

The [wiki](osm.wiki/Key:drinking_water#How_to_map) for drinking_water=yes says:

> There exists drinking water.
> The water is drinkable for humans. There must be objective reasons that allow you to conclude that the water is pure. E.g. in alpine territory the source is above any inhabited areas. One can assume that the water is pure when many people drink it every day.
> There is no warranty for this tag. The circumstances can change every day. Everyone should use caution before drinking water from unknown sources.
> If the water is checked and approved by public authorities, you can tag additional drinking_water:legal=yes.
> If there is a label "No drinking water" because there is no official control, you can add the tag drinking_water:legal=no.

It looks like
drinking_water=yes + drinking_water:legal=no
would be a better tagging for this source

Hello milsh,

Please join this discussion.

Unless you respond in the discussion in the next 24 hours, I'm planning to undo ("revert" in OSM terminology) your last two edits: the edits that mainly deleted trails and roads in military practice areas and nature reserves.

Best regards,
Zeev

Hello Milsh,

Welcome to OSM!
I understand you meant to do good, but OSM has other ways to do things. Until we clarify things, please avoid any further such edits.

In short:
- If a road exists on the ground, it can, and should appear in OSM.
- Any access restrictions should be made on the tags.
- Mappers are expected to follow OSM global guidelines and local mapping conventions
- Mappers should be careful not to delete or damage mapping efforts of other mappers. When in doubt, ask the other mapper or the community.

Specifically for Israel:
- Such roads and trails are also shown in maps published by the Israeli government
- Entering military practice areas is allowed with proper permits provided by the military authorities.
- Similar permits may also given for Nature reserves.
- The norm in Israel is to avoid massive tagging of roads and trails in nature reserves and practice zones with access tags.

For further information and clarifications, in Hebrew or English, please join the OSM Israel Telegram channel https://t.me/OSM_Israel

Thank you,
Zeev

Hello culbi,
For a better explanation of the reasons for not copying from Govmap, and what can be done to allow that, please read this entry in the Legal FAQ:

osm.wiki/Legal_FAQ#XYZ_Organisation_has_data_for_free_download_under_licence_N._Can_I_use_it_in_OSM?

Among other things, it clearly says:
> Do not rely on your own legal interpretation of the licence.

Thanks,
Zeev
