Hi. I did not know the answer myself but get this from a colleague

The pink boxes are the AI suggestions for buildings - along with the Pink lines suggesting roads they rare the out put of the AI Algorithms - Click on one and look to the left panel; - you can then choose to use the feature or not - care should be taken as sometimes they need to be edited for size/rotation/grouping buildings - and the road tag must also be checked as it often incorrectly defaults to Residential Road -
Best regards

Curious that you are mapping in just that area. Here is something to read:

https://www.unfpa.org/news/girls-escaping-fgm-rural-tanzania-crowdsourced-maps-show-way-safety

This is where the mapping is involved
https://crowd2map.org/

When you are interested in helping out, let us know. We are looking for experienced mappers and validators.

Are you familiar with HOTOSM ?
https://www.hotosm.org/
>200.000 mappers (most not so experienced) and 500 validators. You see, a huge shortage on validators.
Best regards. Hope to hear soon of you

Hello kelseybcrane . You asked for a review.
In general, your mappings of the buildings are fine.
I see that you removed a lot of highways.
I see that my colleague Validator was involved as well, So I accept it.
Thanks and keep mapping

Hello Mori, You requested a review.
This part is frustrated i guess. Based on the scope of the project this private area is of no value. Fine that it is mapped, but nothing more than that.
Most of the roads in this private area are tagged as track. Fine for me. I change your mappings accordingly. The highways you tagged as unclassified are private roads and therefore the tag 'service' suits better
Anyhow, Thanks and keep mapping

Hello. Thanks for mapping.
Please pay attention on the squaring of buildings you map with the Q key. Especially the manual mapped buildings. By hand it is very difficult to draw a good rectangular. The system is very secure on that

Hello, I have reviewed these mappings.
In general good mapped.
About highways. I see that most of them were mapped before as residential roads.
I noticed that you did not extend existing highways and connected loose ends. Highways need to be connected to get a network where you can navigate over with GPS supported NAV sytems
When a highway is interrupted you have a problem.

Hello. Thanks for mapping . You asked for a review of this work.
Please do not let a highway cross a building. Navigation systems cannot work with that. :-)
Please be sure to square each building you map with the Q key in RapiD
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello LornaErin. I reviewed your mappings on this changeset and have some remarks.
1. there is no need to map all short tracks from a highway to buildings. When the object is visible from the highway ( most are) there is no need to map them.
2. you connect the ending nodes of the paths you mapped often to a node of a building. Please don't do that because that are errors and have to be corrected. Never connect nodes of highways to other features like buildings and landuse features
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello Rara. Can you please stick to the mapping requirements on this project ? no woods, no waterbodies.
The common used tag for buildings is building=yes
from our armchair we cannot conclude if it is a house, barn etc. so building=yes is all we want to tag here. Local mappers will adjust them
Again, square each building you map with the Q key and be more precise in mapping buildings.

Best regards

Hello Rara. about the highway leading east west
Should you map and tag this highway after reading the guidance for road tags ?
Best remove it because it comes from nowhere en leads also to nowhere

Please read this document for better understanding how to map and tag highways

You mapped 2 buildings here. Oversized and not squared. Please be more accurate and square the buildings with the Q key in RapiD or iDeditor (these were manual mapped buildings ?)
Best regards and keep mapping

Hello. Thanks for mapping here, A remark
The objective of this program is also to map buildings. I missed these. Are you planning to map them as well?
Another issue. Highways: add surface tag 'ground' when the surface is not paved.

Hello. Sorry for the delay in responding on your request for a review.
a few issues
Please re(read) this document how to map and tag highways
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SxLkCU3IRecsFV2kYx61VImJLLtQiKw3/view
You overrate highways
The proposal of RapiD how to tag a highway is not always right. In rural areas you will find no residential highways, That tag has to be used in urban areas.
When you take a close look to the highways and measure the width, they are often not more than a path.
Other roads , thoroughgoing , can be tagged as unclassified, add also tag surface=ground
Very short highways, leading to dwellings, hamlets etc which are in clear view from the highway they comes from don't need to be mapped as well, despite RapiD suggest.
Best regards

Hi
Bing imagery on JOSM is rather old on this spot. 2010- 2014. Maxar is recenter. I guess 2019 based on the Maxar information (website)
I So I recommend to use the Maxar imagery
This project is an RapiD project. They use another younger imagery which is not available under JOSM.
What I do in that case when I want to validate a task on such a project is first opening it in Rapid and again in JOSM
switching between them shows differences
success
