On this house, multiple angles are missing: osm.org/way/1039995323

On this house, a side of the house is angled which is not captured in the footprint: osm.org/way/1039995319

On this house, there is a part of the house mapped that isn't even there (and never was): osm.org/way/1039995343

And the list just goes on and on and on. I could nitpick at almost every single house here and find something wrong with it.

Hello abfkts,

It seems you have imported many Microsoft Building Footprints via RapiD. (Essentially an undiscussed import, but that's besides the point.) However, these are notorious for being inaccurate. Oro Valley has some very complicated buildings that can not be captured in exact detail using the footprints. My philosophy is to add valid, detailed data than no data at all and importing these buildings completely defies that. Unless you provide valid reasons as to why I should not revert all of your changesets adding buildings in this area, I will be reverting all of these buildings by 2 day from now. Please leave a comment saying that you have at least seen this message.

Thanks,
BubbaJuice

Hi TCarp,

It seems you have traced already mapped fairways. These will be deleted. Please respond why you did this.

Thanks,

Thanks. In particular, what is the source of the name of osm.org/way/1013843427?

Hello aznative,

Thank you for your contributions to the database.

However, you have made a mistake in tagging all of the Tonto National Forest into a farmyard. This is incorrect because not all of the forest is a farmyard. A portion of it could be a farmyard but not the whole thing. This one separate portion would deserve its own way.

I will be changing its tagging back to before this changeset.

Thank you,
BubbaJuice

Noticed I forgot to add sources, here they are:

Hello Dylansc,

The Broadway Underpass should not be tagged as a tunnel. It should either be a bridge or a tunnel, not both. It is clear that Broadway cutts through the earth that Toole Avenue was set on but Toole Avenue clearly has a bridge over this cut through earth. Tunnels are normally enclosed also, this has a large gap in the middle of it separating the bridges of the railroad and Toole Avenue.

I will be changing this back to how it was.

Thank you,
BubbaJuice

Hello 1T_money,

Splitting ways to make them shorter literally serves no purpose unless you are editing the area and the way you are editing becomes over 2000 nodes long.

You have caused an inconvenience to me because I have a lot of unpublished changes in this area and I got one big conflict because of this.

Please reconsider this next time.

Thank you, BubbaJuice

Please do not tag buildings as street lamps as you did so here: osm.org/node/9213149506

You can use a note as a placeholder. They can be created on the right hand side of the page at openstreetmap.org. You should resolve them once you are done using the note as a placeholder though.

Hello wombatmaper,

You did not do this task correctly. The task description states "Convert reservoir nodes in Arizona to areas tagged natural=water + water=reservoir" when you simply just converted a node to updated tagging.

Please copy the tags from this node to the reservoir imported by NHD not far north east of this node please. If you are interested, the number two tank nodes goes to the tank even farther northeast.

Thank you,

Hello GREGMAP1,

In this changeset you added buildings that were not traced exactly on the buildings that were shown on Bing aerial imagery. Could you align all of your buildings with Bing aerial imagery? How you would do this is have Bing aerial imagery selected in the iD editor and then use the area tool to trace around the exact edge of the building until it reflected the exact area around the building. You would not lazily trace the outside of the building. After this could you press "q" to square the building? This will allow for accurate buildings that reflect the real world.

Regarding the park nodes you have added in this changeset, what are the purpose of these? Why did you add them? Why are they named "1", "2", and "3"? Why have you added nodes like these all across Tucson?

A response would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
BubbaJuice

Hey GREGMAP1,

In this changeset you added some highway links to intersections. Some of these highway links should be removed though. This is because these roads should only be created if physical separation is present (ie. a median or bollards). However the ones that you added only have strips of paint indicating lanes. Therefore they should be deleted.

If you could leave a comment saying that you got this message that would be great.

Thanks,
BubbaJuice

Hey GREGMAP1,

The street lamps you added in this changeset should not be tagged with man_made=mast as they are typical street lamps and not masts. This also implies that tower:type=lighting should be removed. If you could do this on all of your most recent changesets that would be great.
Please read about both of these tags to have a good understanding of them. osm.wiki/Tag:tower:type%3Dlighting
osm.wiki/Tag:man_made%3Dmast
osm.wiki/Tag:highway%3Dstreet_lamp

If you could lave a response to confirm you got this message that would be great.

Thanks,
BubbaJuice

Hey MojaveNC,
The polygons you made in this changeset are very low quality. Much of the area they cover isn't even forest but is shrubland (scrub). That is why I think they should be deleted. A follow up response if you agree or disagree with me would be appreciated.
Thanks.
