  • Asked out admin assistance for help with the paperwork for upgrading Local Chapters to new versions of the LCA
  • Board Meeting
    • Attended the June 2022 OSMF Board Meeting,
    • Alas the community presentation I had organised had to cancelled at last minute.
    • The board voted to bring in a simple membership prerequisite for OSMF members
  • Asked LWG if we should start paying for a lawyer (they weren’t opposed, but also suggested looking for more pro-bono lawyers, rather than just relying on one)
  • Initial query to the SRDP about if they would like to offer themselves to the openstreetmap-carto project.
  • Got a reply from our lawyers about whether people under 18 can be OSMF members. (He’s not sure, but maybe not)
  • Since I have a CoI on Attribution, I asked if anyone else on board wanted to take up an idea from the S2S about whether corporations who blatently ignore the OSM attribution Guidelines should present.
  • Someone suggested blocking a site, but it’s not OSM based.
• My mapping activity is down a lot in the last month. My desktop computer has been packed away, so I can’t sit down and do some JOSMing.

  • SOGIE/Mapbeks presentation
    • I was asked to present at a webinar on LGBTQ issues in OSM, (cf. tweet, masto)
    • I gave the presentation, but the video hasn’t been uploaded yet.
  • Tried to renew my OSM Ireland membership. Link didn’t work, so a few emails back and forth and we have fixed it.

  • Freebies / Promotional Material Programme
    • I haven’t sent out any stickers this month, even though people are waiting on them. I am waiting until I can unpack everything agian.
    • I worked with the OSMF bookkeeper to figure out the expenses.
  • Trying to post regularly to Instagram, but I’m forgetting a few weeks. Also trying to graphically nicer posts.
  • I have been slack with Pinterest, and not posted anything.
  • Mastodon
    • I had suggested that the @OpenStreetMap twitter account automatically post to @OpenStreetMap@en.osm.town mastodon. And that appears to be set up now!
    • Likewise, the @SotM@en.osm.town crossposter has been repaired.
    • Finally published a OSM blog “Open Social Media at OpenStreetMap” about the OSM mastodon server, incl. a little tweeting a little about masto.
  • I haven’t been to many CWG meetings, but I’m still able to be productive in this WG
• Sent reciept for SotM 2022 stickers I ordered
