What I did in OpenStreetMap in Novemeber 2022

- I’ve continued to map a lot, incl. opening hours with EveryDoor etc
- I was in Dublin, and there was so much new PoIs & shops to map!

- Elon Musk, the new Twitter owner has not been popular on Twitter, so many people are switching to Mastodon.
- en.osm.town has seen a large increase in usage & new members.
- It’s time to get more organised & professional!
- I’ve set up 🧭
@compass@en.osm.townas an admin/mod for the server. - Previously I was listed as admin. I asked for ideas.

- I asked for a new logo. Covered in WkOSM №644. @LySioS@pouet.chapril.org has suggested a dozen OSM/Mastodon logos! (need to set this up)
- It’s time to get more organised & professional!
- The OpenStreetMap Twitter account now mentions the OpenStreetMap fediverse account (
@openstreetmap@en.osm.town), which helps people move. - An important missing feature is group posting. I asked if there was a mastodon alternative. Alas, nothing yet.
- In Dublin, I organised a last minute pub meet. It was fun to catch up with old friends. 🐘 🐦, 📆 🗫 📧

- In my last board meeting, the Board voted:
- to require that people have to ≥21 days of mapping (from >15) to be an OSMF member (or assoc. member). I emailed MWG
- to commission a CT compatibility template. I emailed LWG.
- to require that imports list whether they are CT compatible or not on the imports catalog. I emailed LWG & DWG, and
talk@list 📧,imports@list 📧, osmus slack#imports, discord#imports. )
